Where Ryan works
Based in Pontyclun, out across Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff, Barry and Penarth. Each town has its own page, because a Rhondda terrace and a Penarth villa are not the same job.
- 01 Cardiff Cardiff is twenty minutes down the M4 from the van, and it is where most of our bigger jobs come from. Rewires in the older terraces, fuse boards in the 1930s semis, EICRs for landlords, and EV chargers on driveways all over the city. Rewires · Landlord EICRs · EV chargers about 20 minutes down the M4 CF3, CF5, CF10, CF11, CF14, CF15, CF23 and CF24
- 02 Barry Barry is a mix of old and new that shows up in the wiring. Terraces around the High Street and Cadoxton that have not been touched in decades, postwar estates with boards on their last legs, and Waterfront houses where the job is usually a charger or extra sockets. Fuse boards · Landlord EICRs · Outdoor power about 25 minutes CF62 and CF63
- 03 Penarth Penarth is period property territory, and period property is where careful electrical work shows. Big Victorian and Edwardian houses, flats carved out of them, and newer estates at Cosmeston and Llandough where the work is more about adding than replacing. Period rewires · EICRs · Lighting about 25 minutes CF64
- 04 Pontypridd Pontypridd is fifteen minutes up the road and full of the sort of houses that need proper electrical work: valley terraces, a lot of rented property around Treforest, and estates where the boards went in decades ago. Landlord EICRs · Rewires · Fuse boards about 15 minutes CF37
- 05 Rhondda Porth, Tonypandy, Treorchy and the villages up both valleys. The Rhondda is terraced housing almost end to end, much of it over a century old, and it throws up the kind of wiring that needs somebody who has seen it before. Rewires · Fuse boards · EV charging about 25 to 30 minutes CF39, CF40, CF41, CF42 and CF43
- 06 Tonyrefail Tonyrefail is ten minutes from the van, which makes it one of the easiest places for us to get to for a small job as well as a big one. Old terraces on the main road, newer estates around Coed Ely, and a lot of houses in between. Part rewires · Small jobs · Garden power about 10 minutes CF39
- 07 Llantrisant and Talbot Green This is home. Ryan is based in Pontyclun, minutes from Talbot Green, and Llantrisant, Llanharry, Beddau and Cross Inn are all on the doorstep. It is where most of the work comes from by word of mouth, and where a small job is never a problem. All domestic work · EV chargers · EICRs five minutes, this is home CF72 and CF38
The patch, on the map
Based in Pontyclun, out across Rhondda Cynon Taf to Cardiff, Barry and Penarth.
The map loads from Google, so it is off until you ask for it. That keeps the page quick and keeps Google's cookies off it until you say so.
On the edge of the patch?
Ask anyway. It often depends what the job is: a full rewire is worth travelling for, a single socket usually is not. You will get a straight answer either way.
